Tytan's initial claim to fame was featuring what was, until recently, the rhythm section of New Wave of British Heavy Metal stars Angel Witch; but their first EP, Blind Men and Fools, already proved the band's intention of pursuing a more commercial hard rock style of its own. Greatly dependent on the powerful and melodic voice of frontman Kal Swan, these aspirations were immediately made possible by the extremely accessible title song, while additional tracks like the energetic "Ballad of Edward Case" and the prog-leaning "Sadman" gave further evidence of Tytan's creative range to be showcased more extensively on their subsequent album, Rough Justice.
