From Irwin, Pennsylvania, X-CALIBER recorded "Warriors of the Night" and released it in 1986 on their own private label. While their hometown has more in common with Hazzard County than Golgotha, "Warriors Of The Night" is an essential romp into mid 80's power fantasy metal.
Is very sad that this band disappear after recording such an amazing metal record, the best music is always underrated and overlooked.
"Warriors Of The Night" came out on cassette and vinyl only. In recent times, this piece go for a little over $1100 on eBay and $1000 on GEMM. The CD issued by Hot Metal Records is a bootleg. X-Caliber reveals their songwriting talents through some epic cuts like "Warriors of the Night", "The Sword" and "Told You Not to Run". The songs are in a medieval mood and played with dramatic arrangements and marvelous melodies. "Rock's Alive" is their metal anthem and speeds like a warhorse in the battlefield.
